Derryn Hinch’s touching tribute to George Negus following passing
Derryn Hinch has shared his memories of the legendary George Negus, saying he was one of the best TV journos in Australian history.
Mr Negus, who was the first host of 60 Minutes in Australia, passed away aged 82 on Tuesday following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Mr Hinch, who used to host 3AW Drive, paid tribute to his good friend in an touching interview with Jacqui Felgate.
“He was one of the greatest television journalists Australia has ever seen,” he said.
