Derryn Hinch makes big call on political future

Derryn Hinch has shut down his political party.

His Justice Party, which was founded in 2015, won one federal Senate seat and three seats in the Victorian upper house.

But the party currently holds no seats in either the state of federal parliaments.

“This is one of the saddest moments of my life,” Hinch said in a statement.

Hinch said there was “no point” in the party continuing to exist.
