Derryn Hinch ‘considering’ running for lord mayor position

Former 3AW broadcaster and Australian senator, Derryn Hinch, has revealed he’s considering running for the position of Melbourne’s lord mayor.

He says he’s old-fashioned when it comes to the running of councils and was approached by senior council members.

“I believe in the three R’s, rates, roads, and rubbish,” he told Tom Elliott.

He also says he’ll weigh up the role before revealing his decision early next week.
