Delta tells Denis she’s “really proud” of portraying her idol Olivia Newton-John

Aussie pop icon Delta Goodrem says the decision to portray her idol on the small screen was a tough decision but now, she couldn’t be more proud of the Olivia Newton-John miniseries.

Delta told Denis Walter she feels so fortunate to have been able to to call Newton-John both a mentor and a friend.

“I’m really proud of the piece,” she said.

“She’s had a complete career, she’s done it with such grace and has continued to rise and make a difference in the world.

“Two weeks before we started to film it I said yes, so it was quick in the very end.

“But now, Denis, I couldn’t imagine not to have done this.”
