‘Delighted’ Bernie Finn reacts to his Liberal Party replacement

Bernie Finn says he’s “absolutely delighted” anti-abortion campaigner Moira Deeming has been chosen as his Liberal Party replacement for the upper house seat of the Western Metropolitan Region.

Finn was dumped by the party earlier this year for disobedience, which centred around a series of offensive social media posts relating to his outspoken views on abortion.

Moira Deeming has been pre-selected as his replacement in a move Labor has slammed, given her similar views to Finn.

Finn said he was “good friends” with Deeming.

“There are a few people in there (Liberal Party) today who have egg dripping from their face and it amuses me greatly,” he told Neil Mitchell.

Finn joined 3AW, along with Fiona Patten, for another edition of The Odd Couple on 3AW Mornings.
