Dean Jones says Australia named team for First Test too early

Australian cricket great Dean Jones says Darren Lehmann and Steve Smith made a blue naming their team for the First Test on Wednesday.

The Macquarie Radio cricket commentator told Sports Today they should have left it as late as possible.

‘I wouldn’t have given them (South Africa) anything,’ Jones said on 3AW.

‘I would have named my team at the toss.’
