Dashing Carlton defender provides positive injury update

Dashing Carlton defender Adam Saad says he’s a “good chance” of making his long-awaited return from injury against Gold Coast in Round 11.

Saad hasn’t played since Round 5 after injuring his hamstring, but told Shane McInnes on 3AW Football’s Saturday Sit Down he only has a few more boxes to tick to return to senior action.

“(The injury rehab is) coming along really well,” Saad said on 3AW.

“I’m ticking all the boxes…there’s a good chance (of playing against) the Suns.”

In a wide-ranging feature interview, the 29-year-old spoke at length about his journey in the game across three clubs, why his faith is so important to hit and went in-depth about the work he’s currently doing in the community.
