Daryl Braithwaite ‘scratched’ from annual performance before Australia’s best horse race

Daryl Braithwaite won’t perform his iconic version of The Horses at the Cox Plate this year.

He’s been replaced by Robbie Dolan.

“Scratched” told The Rumour File on Wednesday morning the jockey-turned-singer, who starred on The Voice, was replacing Braithwaite with a performance before Australia’s weight-for-age horse racing championship on October 22.

Moonee Valley Racing Club has since confirmed Dolan would be performing The Horses this year, with existing commitments for Braithwaite making him unavailable.

Braithwaite has performed before the race for the best part of a decade.
