‘Dangerous job’: Police union boss weighs in on savage officer assault in Bendigo
Secretary of the Police Association, Wayne Gatt, has weighed in on the savage assault on officer Bill Edwards in Bendigo earlier in the week, which left him with a broken nose and two broken teeth.
The police union boss said the assault is the “aftermath of policing”, with the police force ramping up their industrial action in the near future.
“It is increasingly a dangerous job,” Gatt told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.
