Dan Tehan explains $30 billion defence boost on 3AW Drive
Australia will spend an extra $30 billion on defence over the next decade, in a move being welcomed by defence experts.
The funding will focus on acquiring new warships, aircraft and vehicles.
Liberal MP Dan Tehan, Minister for Veteran Affairs and Defence Material, said investing money in defence was crucial.
‘We have to secure our nation,’ he told Tom Elliott.
‘That is the No.1 priority of government.’
