Dads are more caring these days but also working more

Fathers today are less strict, more caring and more hands-on than their own dads, but battle to combine raising children and working according to Nickelodeon research.

Ross and John spoke to Dr Richard Fletcher, Fathers and Families Research Program at the University of Newcastle, about it. 

Mr Fletcher said the battle was expectation.

‘Dads these days want more connection with their children and yet they are working more hours than their fathers did,’ he said.
