Cronin family ‘disgusted’ by news Pat’s killer has been teaching VCE students

Patrick Cronin’s family has expressed their disbelief and disgust at news his killer has been speaking with legal studies students, just months into his “pitiful” prison sentence.

Andrew Lee was handed an eight-year prison term late last year for the one-punch attack that killed Cronin in 2016.

He’s in the process of appealing that sentence.

It’s since emerged Lee has been used as part of an education program, speaking with VCE legal studies students.

Matt Cronin, Patrick’s father, told Neil Mitchell the news had stunned his family. They’re also disgusted.

“I’m not necessarily against this program, but the coward who killed Pat hadn’t even served six months of his pitiful sentence before his was afforded this privilege,” he said.

“This is somebody who has shown no remorse, whatsoever.”
