Cricket icon welcoming unique commentary challenge at Paris Olympics

Former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor says he’s relishing the chance to commentate diving at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Taylor, who has spent decades commentating on cricket, will work on each night of competition alongside current Australian diver Sam Fricker in commentary for Nine, telling Shane McInnes he was deep in research mode ahead of the Games beginning later this month.

“I’ll be dipping my toe in the water (to commentate diving at the Olympics),” he said on The Olympics Today. 

I’m madly reading up about diving history and how it all works, but I’m actually enjoying the challenge to be totally honest to get involved in the Olympics.”
