Cricket Australia hits back at ‘outrageous’ accusations from India captain Virat Kohli

The war of words between Australia and India has escalated, with the head of Cricket Australia hitting back hard at cheating accusations.

Australian captain Steve Smith came under fire from Virat Kohli after he looked to the change rooms while pondering a DRS decision.

Kohli all but accused Smith of cheating after the match.

And it hasn’t gone down well.

‘I find the allegations questioning the integrity of Steve Smith, the Australian team and the dressing room, outrageous,’ Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland said.

‘Steve is an outstanding cricketer and person and role model to many aspiring cricketers and we have every faith that there was no ill-intent in his actions.’
