Crackdown on mandatory payments leaves public schools losing millions and ‘massively under-resourced’
Public schools are losing millions in payments from parents after a 2021 crackdown by the state government .
Australian Secondary Principals Association president, Andy Mison, says schools across the country are “massively under-resourced”.
“The state government contributes, at the highest level about 90 or 70 per cent of what is called the ‘school resource standard’, which is the nationally agreed minimum funding level,” he told Tom Elliott.
