COVID-19 latest: Almost 150 ‘additional’ cases added to new record daily high
Victoria has recorded 867 new local cases of COVID-19, plus an “additional” 149 cases that had not been previously recorded.
Another four people with coronavirus have died.
A glitch in the system has been blamed by the health department.
The department said the test results were “incorrectly recorded by a third-party software vendor supporting a private provider” on Sunday and Monday.
Nine cases on Sunday weren’t reported, while 140 cases were missed in Monday’s figures.
It means 1016 cases have been reported on Tuesday that Victorians previously did not know about.
Reported yesterday: 867 new local cases plus an additional 149 new local cases reportable on previous days (see notes below). 0 cases acquired overseas.
Sadly, 4 people with COVID-19 have died.
