Councils across Victoria are employing so-called ‘bin police’ to help check residents are recycling as they should, Jacqui Felgate has revealed.

3AW Drive has been sent vision of bin audits being conducted in bayside suburbs, while several tips to the program have also uncovered a similar type of action being taken by a council in Blairgowrie and Mitcham.

Sara said her property had been targeted in the early hours of the morning, with bin auditors taping bins of residents that weren’t recycling properly.
