Concerns raised over Victoria’s sports capital status following Rugby World Cup snub

Victoria has lost out on another massive sports event with news 2027 Rugby World Cup organisers have snubbed Victoria.

Deputy opposition leader Sam Groth says he suspects the Allan government may have gotten themselves on the back foot with their bid.

“We should be doing everything we can to make sure we’re putting ourselves in a position to be considered for the biggest events in the world,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate.
