Concerns have been raised as the federal government proposes the introduction of a cap on international student enrolments.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Global, Culture and Engagement at the University of Melbourne, Professor Michael Wesley, said this legislation has been “sprung on us out of the blue”.

“It appears just to have been a thought bubble that came out of the government,” Professor Wesley told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.
