Concerns over spike in motorcycle deaths as high fuel prices see people ditch cars for bikes
The Victorian Motorcycle Council is calling for more investment in training and safety measures to help combat a concerning spike in deaths on Victorian roads.
TAC data shows a 23 per cent increase in motorbike deaths this year.
There is an increasing number of motorcyclists on Victorian roads, with high fuel prices one of the factors pushing people away from cars and onto bikes.
John Eacott from the Victorian Motorcycle Council said regular courses to improve safety and more investment from government was needed.
