There are concerns about the messages in pre-flight safety briefings in Australia, as well as how effective they are in grabbing passenger attention.

It comes after the Australian Transport Safety Bureau released its findings into an evacuation of an A330 that happened at Sydney Airport in 2019.

Five people were left injured, one seriously, when passengers were forced to make an emergency exit from the plane, many of which had stopped to collect their carry-on bag and personal belongings.

“In this particular case, the video didn’t display correct procedure,” ATSB chief commissioner Angus Mitchell told 3AW Drive.
