‘Disturbing and dangerous’: Bike riders harass police officers in Melbourne’s west
Police are looking to crack down on illegal dirt bikes, following a concerning incident in Williams Landing on July 29.

The incident involved 15 dirt bike riders riding dangerously in front of a police vehicle, with some riding on one wheel, who then went on to harass multiple police officers.
Inspector Jennifer Horgan from the Westgate Police Division at Victoria Police, told Neil Mitchell one of the bike riders arrested was only 14-years-old.
“It was really quite disturbing and dangerous behaviour,” Ms Horgan said.

Police have received two new off-road motorbikes, funded by the Wyndham City Council, which will allow officers to target dangerous riding of illegal dirt bikes moving forward.
