Almost 70 per cent of Australians haven’t been to the dentist in more than two years.

And while the COVID pandemic has undoubtedly played a part in that for some, 25 per cent haven’t been in more than five years.

Eithne Irving, Deputy CEO of the Australian Dental Association, said the figures were “unfortunately” pretty consistent.

“It is always a surprise that people don’t recognise the importance of keeping good oral health,” she said.
