Collingwood great Tony Shaw expects Travis Cloke to leave the Pies
Collingwood great Tony Shaw says he expects Travis Cloke to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 1990 premiership captain said on 3AW the embattled forward was clearly on the outer with coach Nathan Buckley and would leave, or be moved, at year’s end.
Cloke was dropped again this week.
‘I don’t think he’ll be playing at Collingwood next year,’ Shaw said on Friday.
‘I heard it (Cloke’s dropping) didn’t go over too well during the week.
‘I think things will be done ? Sometimes that happens.’
Shaw cited the departures of Dale Thomas and nephew Heath Shaw as examples of players leaving the Pies because things hadn’t worked out.
The 3AW Football expert said Cloke ‘probably wanted’ to leave.
‘I think somebody will pick him up,’ Shaw said.
