City stroller attacked, robbed

A man has been assaulted and robbed in the heart of the city overnight.

?The victim was walking along Boathouse Drive with headphones in his ears shortly after 11pm when he was suddenly hit on the head.

The impact caused the Chadstone man, 35, to lose his balance and he fell to the ground.

The attacker then stole his backpack.

The victim avoided serious injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault.

The man they are searching for is described as six-foot tall and of a medium build.
