Chris Fagan new coach of Brisbane Lions

Chris Fagan has landed the Brisbane Lions coaching job.

The Lions confirmed on Tuesday the former Hawthorn football manager would be Justin Leppitsch’s successor.

‘I think the Lions have a young list with a big future in front of them,’ Fagan said.

Fagan has been a key off-field member of the Hawks’ past four premiership wins (2008, 2013, 2014, 2015).

He was considered the front-runner after Leppitsch was sacked in August.

Brett Montgomery and John Barker had also been linked with the position.
