Boy, 14, arrested over shocking supermarket syringe attack
A teenager has been charged following an incident where children were pricked with a syringe in supermarket in Melbourne’s north.
As reported on 3AW earlier this week, two children were pricked by a syringe hidden at a supermarket in Broadmeadows on Monday.
One child was holding a railing in the deli section of the Pascoe Vale Road Coles when they were pricked on the finger.
A second child suffered the same injury an hour later.
Police were called in to investigate and overnight a boy was arrested.
The boy, from Coburg, is aged only 14.
He’s been charged with two counts of recklessly cause injury.
