Chaotic foot chase following car crash leads to attempted shots fired at the public

A man has allegedly attempted to fire a gun at two people who were chasing him after a crash on the Princes Freeway at Yarragon yesterday afternoon.

It’s alleged a man driving a stolen Nissan collided with two cars and then ran away, but was then confronted by two members of the public.

Police allege the man attempted to discharge a firearm at the pair, however the gun failed to fire.

The 36-year-old Moe man was eventually arrested and will face court today.
