CFA’s volunteers to head to Supreme Court to block firefighter deal
Volunteer fire fighters have had a win in court, with the CFA agreeing to delay a vote on the controversial EBA.
The government’s hand-picked CFA board endorsed the controversial agreement on Friday night, but the dispute is not over yet.
The volunteers took their case to the Supreme Court on Wednesday, where it was ruled they may have a case that they weren’t properly consulted.
The volunteers believe the deal will give the union control of the organisation and marginalise their role.
