CBA and Westpac bosses to face grilling from parliamentary committee
The bosses of Australia’s four big banks will be expected to demonstrate remorse when they face a parliamentary committee in Canberra.
Commonwealth Bank CEO Matt Comyn and Westpac chief Brian Hartzer will be the first to explain what changes are being made in the wake of the Royal Commission.
Economics Committee Chair Tim Wilson tells Ross Greenwood the public deserve to see reform.
“What the Australian people are expecting from the banks tomorrow is a clear sign that they understand and the anger and the frustration at times and the rage and broken trust they feel of the consequence of what’s been revealed out of this royal commission.”
