Caroline Wilson urges AFL to embrace key fixture change
Caroline Wilson is urging the AFL to embrace more football on nights before public holidays.
Carlton and Essendon drew 88,510 to the MCG on Sunday night – the second largest home and away crowd between the two sides in VFL/AFL history.
Caro said the should should look to schedule more marquee matches to make the most of public holiday long weekends.

“I remember when they scheduled Collingwood and Carlton game (on a Sunday night) and Eddie McGuire went nuts,” she said on 3AW Football.
“It was before a public holiday and I understand that – this has to be something the AFL looks at moving forward.”
