Caro says the AFL should be ’embarrassed’ by Cat injuries
Caroline Wilson says the AFL should be “embarrassed” by injuries sustained by two Cats in Perth last week.
Mark Blicavs and Zach Tuohy both suffered cuts when they ran into the fence at Optus Stadium.
Caro told 3AW Football the AFL knew the fence was sharper than in other venues.
“Both the AFL and the Stadium were warned about it last year and did nothing about it,” Caro said on Friday night.
“It’s embarrassing for the AFL and embarrassing for Western Australian footy.”
A protective cover was installed on the fence on Saturday.

Caro said she understands the signage is different to the rubber-edged kind found at venues like the MCG and Etihad Stadium.
“I think the company that won the tender doesn’t do LED signage anywhere else.”
In a wide-ranging interview, Caro also spoke about the Grand Final venue being confirmed as the MCG for another 50 years.
She predicted the 2057 Grand Finalists:
Dwayne: Who’ll be playing in the Grand Final in 2057?
Caro: Richmond v Tasmania.
