Carlton coach Michael Voss, Jack Martin and two other members of the club’s football department have COVID-19.

The Blues confirmed the news on Friday.

It means Voss can’t coach against the Western Bulldogs next week.

And Martin can’t play, due to health and safety protocols.

Senior Assistant Coach Ashley Hansen will coach the senior side.

Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd said the four individuals would follow the necessary protocols over the next week, and the club will continue to provide them with the necessary support.

“Importantly, Michael, Jack and our staff are feeling well, which is the number one priority here obviously and they will now isolate for the required periods of time. All had tested negative prior to interacting with the football program, however by today all four had returned a positive result,” Lloyd said.

The Blues will be hoping to avoid a significant outbreak at the club as they look to continue their momentum following Thursday night’s huge win over Richmond.
