Car stolen at knifepoint near MCG after Carlton clash with Melbourne
East Melbourne residents say they’re shocked by a carjacking near the MCG which happened shortly after Sunday’s clash between Carlton and Melbourne.
Police say two men, armed with a knife, approached a young man in his Holden sedan on Jolimont Road around 7pm.
They fled in his car.
The victim wasn’t injured but the car hasn’t been recovered and the offenders remain on the run.
Perry, who witnessed the incident, said the victim appeared to be stunned by what had happened.
‘He was as white as a ghost,’ he said.
