Car on fire at intersection of Dalton Road and Western Ring Road

A car has been spotted on fire at the intersection of Dalton Road in Thomastown and the Western Ring Road inbound.

A couple of witnesses in Scotty and Neil called in to speak to Dee Dee on the incident.

“The flames are about three or four metres high,” Scotty said.

The Department of Transport have since released a statement:

Two lanes are closed Altona-bound on the M80 Ring Road, just before Dalton Road. Emergency services now on scene and the fire is under control. Drive with caution and allow extra time in both directions on the freeway.
