A car chase along the Eastlink has ended with police arresting a man driving an allegedly stolen vehicle at a 7-Eleven on High Street Road in Wantirna South.

Caller Anthony, says the driver was erratic, and cut through three lanes of traffic to take the High Street Road exit.

“He drove into that service station at about 100 km/h, he was out of that car filling up … and Highway Patrol smashed into the front of his car to stop him,’ he told Tom Elliott.

Police have confirmed in a statement two men are being interviewed after the car was originally spotted driving erratically in Frankston after two pm.

“The police vehicle, and the vehicle it smashed into were damaged and both towed,” Tom Elliott said.
