Cale Hooker re-signs with Essendon

Cale Hooker has rejected the lure of a move away from Essendon and re-signed for five years.

The Bombers announced on Wednesday that their reigning best and fairest winner would be remaining with the club.

The star defender, currently serving a 12-month doping ban, had reportedly attracted the interest of several opposition clubs.

The Bombers also recently re-secured Travis Colyer and Heath Hocking.
