‘Burning inside’: Scott Pendlebury’s revealing interview after post-season trip overseas

Collingwood legend Scott Pendlebury has issued an ominous warning to the rest of the competition, saying he’s never been more motivated to come back and perform to a high level in 2025.

In a revealing interview on Wide World of Sports, Pendlebury admitted a post-season trip to Greece had him “burning” to return and made amends after the Pies missed finals in 2024.

“I got away to Greece and was really disappointed with the year that we had as a side,” he said on 3AW.

“After six or seven days, the runners were on, I’m on a track in Athens running and burning inside (and thinking) ‘why aren’t we here (playing final).

“My aim is to come back in the best shape I’ve ever been in, in my 20 years.”
