BREAKING: Brad Battin is Victoria’s newest Opposition Leader
Brad Battin has fronted the media just moments after being voted in as the Liberal Party’s newest Opposition Leader.
He says it’s time for the party to move on and do what they can to be a viable option for the next state election.
“We know Victorians are hurting, we know the cost of living crisis in Victoria is impacting each and every family across this state,” he said.

He also thanked former opposition leader John Pesutto for his work over the last two years.
Moira Deeming was also readmitted to the Liberal Party with a clear majority of 23-4 while the party voted against allowing MPs to cast their votes remotely.
Nine News reporter Laura Turner says Moira Deeming was present for the Leadership spill and Sam Groth was voted in as deputy leader.
John Pesutto chose not to renominate himself after the party voted for the spill and Jess Wilson was voted out in the first round.
