Brazen thieves steal Thor inspired, custom made whiskey decanter

A unique whiskey decanter in the shape of a hammer has been stolen from a Viking inspired restaurant in Melbourne’s CBD.

The custom made steel decanter, inspired by the Thor franchise, is worth thousands of dollars and is believed to have been stolen from Mjølner restaurant in Hardware Street in the early hours of Sunday.

Restaurant owner Greg Sanderson told Tom Elliott it is an expensive, one-off object.

“It is one of two ever made,” he said.

“It is extremely valuable to our guests and to our business as well.”

Police have released images of a group of men in the hope someone may be able to provide information.
