Bombers coach open to ‘exploring’ drastic options to get Joe Daniher back in form

Essendon’s coach John Worsfold is considering his options with Joe Daniher.

The star forward is horrendously out of form, having booted just eight goals and taken 11 contested marks from the first seven games.

Bomber legend Matthew Lloyd suggested the club should consider sending Daniher back to the VFL to find form.

Worsfold told Sunday Sport it’s one of the options available.

“There’s several ways you’d look to try and help the player get confidence back,” Worsfold said.

“One of them is what Matthew was talking about, but it’s not the only way.

“That’s something we’ll keep exploring.”
