Bomb Squad called to CBD street

Lonsdale Street has been re-opened after a brief bomb scare.

The Bomb Squad was called to the CBD on Wednesday afternoon.

Lonsdale Street, between Cohen Place and Exhibition Street, was closed to all traffic for just over an hour while police investigated.

The all-clear was given a short time later.

An unattended suitcase sparked the scare.
