The KFC Big Bash is back at the Gabba tonight with the Brisbane Heat playing host to the Sydney Sixers.
The Heat come into the game undefeated sitting at 3-0, their quick-firing batting line up proving too hot to handle for the competition so far. Brisbane’s master-blasters Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn have been the talk of the town after both set the Gabba alight last Friday night when they put on a partnership of 109 runs off 53 balls. McCullum finishing with 72 and man of the match Lynn 84*. They’ll be hoping that form continues tonight when they face Sixers leading wicket taker Sean Abbott who took 5 in his last game and is in red-hot form. Sydney aren’t without batting power, Jason Roy, Nic Maddinson and Sam Billings can all pile the runs on fast so the Heat’s bowlers led by Mark Steketee will need to be on. The Sixers will go into the match confident knowing they have never lost a game to Brisbane at the Gabba, and history is on their side with the ledger being at 4-1 out of all clashes played between the two teams.
