Black Saturday survivor Lyn Gunter, who was mayor of Murrundindi Shire during the horror bushfires, and who spent several years as a CFA board member, fears for the bushfire season ahead.

It’s only early October, but out-of-control fires are already burning in Victoria’s east.

Former Murrundindi Shire mayor, Lyn Gunter, told Neil Mitchell there are enormous fuel loads and we’re not prepared.

“I see that they do burns up in the mountain areas but what are we doing to protect around the communities?,” she said.
