The Albanese government has announced a Royal Commission on the Morrison government’s Robodebt fiasco that led to a $1.8 billion class action settlement.

“In my view, they only did that so they could avoid explaining it,” Bill Shorten told Neil Mitchell on Thursday.

“We don’t know why nobody in the old government realised that, for four and a half years, they were unlawfully raising debts against hundreds of thousands of every day Aussies.”
