Bike stolen from three-time Paralympian
A specially-modified bicycle has been stolen from a three-time Paralympic champion overnight.
The bicycle belongs to Shelley Chaplin, a wheelchair basketball player who has won two silver and one bronze medal at the Athens, Bejing and London Paralympics.
Elaine, Shelley’s mother-in-law, told Neil Mitchell the bike was stolen from their garage in the Frankston-Seaford area overnight.
She believed the bike to be worth around three to five thousand dollars.
Shelley uses the bike for fitness and to complete charity fundraising rides.
