Ben Brown explains the origins of why he wears No.50

Melbourne forward Ben Brown has explained how he’s ended up wearing No.50 on his football jumper his entire career on 3AW.

Brown joined Sportsday to discuss the Demons’ early season form, before curiosity got the better of fill-in host Bruce Eva.

Brown said it all started with him being a little late to his first football club training session with Devonport because he’d been at basketball training.

“The only jumper that fit me that was the right size was No.50,” he said.

Brown also addressed the competition for spots in Melbourne’s forward line.
