Bathurst’s regional economy boost
Ross Greenwood speaks to Gary Rush, the Mayor of Bathurst about the Bathurst 1000 this weekend.
The annual event has a significant impact on the Bathurst economy.
Mr Rush says the city is geared up and ready to go with 35,000 people set to camp there this weekend.
‘This is a very significant event for regional Australia and of course we’re so fortunate to have it here in Bathurst,’ he told Ross Greenwood.
‘It makes a significant contribution to the local economy, 25 million dollars.’
