Barnaby Joyce thinks Australians are ‘going to be surprised’ tonight
Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce thinks Australians are “going to be surprised” with the election result.
Mr Joyce told 3AW he’s expecting an upset.
“I think you’ll find this is not going to go the way the polls said,” he said.
“You’ve got two elections on: You’ve got the regional Australian election and you’ve got the urban election.
“In regional areas so many people, they just believe you’ve forgotten about them. You come up with policy that sounds so good within your paradigm but they’re disastrous for us, and that affects how people vote.”
NEIL MITCHELL: “You’re a very experienced politician, you’ve seen baseball bat elections in the past…”
BARNABY JOYCE: “This is not one.”
