RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Ballarat will host a major sporting event, with the National Masters Rowing Championships, which were originally slated to be held in Western Australia, awarded to the regional city.

The event has been relocated due to WA’s tough border rules.

It’s expected to bring hundreds of athletes to Ballarat.

The Rumour File was tipped off to the relocation last week, and it’s now been confirmed by Ballarat mayor Daniel Moloney.

“We’ve been trying to sit on that little quiet whisper for a couple of weeks, as a rower and a coach myself I’m pretty stoked about that!,” he told Ross and Russel.
